3. Early Feedback on an assessment
  • Short what & why from UoA SLT, could then have links to evidence/research
  • Examples of types of feedback
  • Other resources

Questions raised:

  1. What kind of feedback here? Test feedback or assignment feedback? Individual feedback or feedback to the entire class?
  2. It needs to be useful & meaningful feedback to support students learning rather than just using quizzes as feedback.
  3. If providing feedback for all assignments, I need to think of budget as well as tutor would spend more time on assignment marking and giving feedback, also to provide support to students!
  4. I asked students to write one thing that I learnt from the course and one thing I don’t understand, tutor marking and give feedback in class, is this considered as feedback?
  5. How early is early? Within 2 weeks, students are still confirming the course, if giving feedback in week 2, some students may miss the opportunity

  2. Do we have any tools for our stuff to use?
  3. We use peer review marking to tell us which students did most work or less work, are we allow to have peer review marks as part of grade?
